The Rural Museum of Pendilhe, opened in 2009, is integrated in project of the Rural Center of Paiva which covers the municipalities of Castro Daire and Vila Nova de Paiva (civil parishes of Pendilhe, Touro and Vila Cova à Coelheira in the municipality of Vila Nova de Paiva, civil parishes of Almofala, Cujó and Joaninho in the municipality of Castro Daire)

The museum, while interpretive center, has an exhibition hall, library and internet room and laboratory. The museum includes local collections of agricultural tools, pottery, textiles, and decorative arts of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.

The museum is located at the top of the village, next to an interesting array of traditional granaries, a big threshing floor and a communitarian oven.

In this building two installations will be presented on March 6th at 14.30: a sound installation and an audiovisual installation, both part of Reia Zoontes, a project by Manuela Barile. This project was entirely developed in the village of Pendilhe, with the collaboration of many of its inhabitants.
